Dubai issues decree to regulate the use of commercial lands
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has given Decree No. (23) of 2022 managing the grant of 'Musataha' privileges on business lands in Dubai.
The Decree manages the utilization of business lands in Dubai by giving the right of 'Musataha' to develop and foster real estate land projects. The new regulation structures part of the emirate's endeavors to combine Dubai's status as a favored global real estate investment destination
According to the Decree, the 'Musataha' understanding makes a genuine property right that qualifies its holder to construct a structure or put resources into, contract, rent, sell, or buy a plot of land belonging to a third party for a time of as long as 35 years.
The agreement can be stretched out to a limit of 50 years. The request for re-establishment must be submitted two years in front of the arrangement's expiry date.
